DONCASTER, U.K. - Sept. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Earlier this year the Government launched its latest initiative to kick start the housing market. And, whilst it has been publicised Miller Homes (http://www.millerhomes.co.uk/our-offers/helptobuy.aspx) has found that visitors to its developments are still somewhat unclear about how exactly it could help them buy a brand new home.

With this in mind the award winning housebuilder is launching a series of Help to Buy weekends at its developments across the region with the first taking place at its Leeds and Bradford developments this weekend.

"We believe Help to Buy is a fantastic scheme that is certainly helping more and more people buy their own home, however there are still many who just don’t know what Help to Buy is and how it can help them.  So what better way to let people know than a whole weekend dedicated to informing our visitors about it," said Steve McElroy sales director Miller Homes Yorkshire.

Help to Buy offers assistance for purchasers, that meet the qualifying criteria and who only have a small deposit of around 5%, through the provision of a 20% Government equity loan. This means that buyers only need to secure up to a 75% mortgage from a bank or building society.

Steve continued: "Visitors to our developments will be able to speak directly with our highly experienced advisers who will discuss the entire Help to Buy process and properties available, and they’ll have access to a financial adviser who will be able to ascertain if they qualify under the scheme.

"By helping buyers purchase using a smaller deposit means that those previously unable to access the housing market are now able to find homes that are affordable and desirable which can finally cease that never ending renting cycle," said Steve. "We can’t wait to tell more people about Help to Buy!"

Developments in the Leeds and Bradford area include h2010 in Leeds City Centre, Miller @ Grace at Thornton, Flaxton Court at Bradford and The Brookes at Drighlington which will host weekends on 7th and 8th September.

Miller Homes’ properties available on Help to Buy range from two bedroom apartments to four bedroom detached houses.  For further information and development details visit www.millerhomes.co.uk or call 0808 250 6438.
