Book Based on Meetup Group…An Industry First?

Sept. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Seattle, WA  – Three hours. Twice a month. 24 men and woman met together for a year-long experiment exploring the mystery of love and intimacy. The result is a brand new e-book called It Takes Two to Know One: A Guide to Sacred Love & Intimacy. Unlike a traditional book written by a solo author after months of research, this book was written by solo author Victoria Fann, but the research was based on co-facilitating a dynamic, interactive group of real people who met every other week in the author’s living room.

“I had this vision a few years prior of a row of men facing a row of women in two straight lines asking each other all the questions they’d always wanted to ask the opposite sex,” says Fann. Fann and co-organizer, Adam Gosh, decided to take that vision and bring it into the Meetup format (Fann is a life coach and a seasoned group facilitator). Begun in Seattle in January 2012, they named the group, Enigma of Love, and to their delight, it was immediately popular with both sexes.

“The energy of the group was electric,” said Gosh. “Even in winter with the heat turned down, the room would heat up to almost eighty degrees.”

Fann and Gosh chose to run the group more like a paid workshop with lots of hands on exercises, activities, role-playing and lots of sharing, followed by a potluck feast that allowed the group to mingle and bond.

“We created a sacred container so that men and women could share their feelings and experiences in an authentic and vulnerable way,” said Fann. “What unfolded was mind blowing and heart opening.”

Each chapter of the book is based on the topics covered by the group including Relationship Sins, Soul Mates, Chemistry, The Dark Side of Sexuality, etc. The e-book book is currently available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, the iBookstore and six other stores worldwide.
