By: ADPR Charlie Webster is renowned for her love of sport and is actively involved in encouraging others to benefit from her passion. As a keen marathon runner and self confessed ’adrenalin junkie’, Charlie has no intention of standing on the sidelines and plans to go head-to-head with ’the beast’ in the half marathon distance. Organised by HellRunner™ creators, TrailPlus and global sportswear brand Helly Hansen, Beauty and the Beast is an authentic, multi-lap event. Each 4.4 mile lap of the course lures competitors into the beauty of stunning parkland scenery and breathtaking views, whilst simultaneously confronting them with a series of monstrously tough and ’beastly’ ascents and descents. Commenting on her involvement with the Helly Hansen Beauty and the Beast trail marathon, Charlie says, “I'm so pleased to be a part of Helly Hansen 'Beauty and the Beast' race, not only competing in it myself but warming everybody up both mentally and physically setting our intention for what will be an inspiring and high energy adventure. Having just come back from the States competing in the ultimate ultra relay across trials of 198miles I am very much looking forward to bringing my recent experience to Saturday 21st.” In spite of its tough nature, conquering Beauty and the Beast is an achievable goal for all fitness enthusiasts, thanks to its added twist. All participants are given the choice to enter either a full or half marathon, with the additional option to submit teams of two, three or six for a collective marathon relay like no other. In addition to having the opportunity to take part in a warm-up with Charlie Webster, all participants will benefit from state-of-the- With an event village situated in the grounds, general spectators, competitors and their families will never be far away from the action. With onsite catering and entertainment from a resident DJ, the organisers will ensure the event is one of the UK’s most spectator-friendly marathons. For those choosing to kick back and relax, West Wycombe Park provides the perfect backdrop for a leisurely picnic, whilst soaking up the race atmosphere.
