ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Individuals and businesses are invited to host authors participating in the 2013 Florida Heritage Book Festival at the Literary Legends Banquet to be held at the St. Johns County Convention Center at Renaissance World Golf Village Resort on Sept. 27.

Your name or business will be recognized in the Festival program, on the website and in the thank-you ad placed in The St. Augustine Record.

John Jakes, author of the acclaimed North and South series of historic fiction about two families before, during and after the Civil War, is the 2013 Literary Legend.

Mr. Jakes will be present at this event to accept his award. He will speak to attendees and reflect on his long and storied career.

In addition, there will be a silent auction with a wide array of items, from private dinner parties, to art, golf packages, etc., donated by community businesses and individuals.

More than 20 bestselling authors will participate in the free Florida Heritage Book Festival on Saturday, Sept. 28, at Flagler College’s Ringhaver Student Center in downtown St. Augustine. Friday evening, they are the guests of the Book Festival and are seated with their dinner host and other guests. In essence, a table becomes a mini festival presentation platform for the author.

Katherine Dvornick, executive director, said this is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy up-close and personal time with your favorite author while providing additional financial support for the Festival.

Author sponsorships are available for $350. The author’s sponsor receives two tickets for Friday’s private reception with all the authors preceding dinner, and is seated next to the author at dinner.
