Johnson Fleming launches employer Auto-enrolment checklist

Johnson Fleming, a leading, independent workplace pensions and benefits specialist, has today launched an auto-enrolment checklist for employers.

The checklist is designed to not only help employers with their initial project planning, but also to be used as a final check for those nearing their staging date. As well as the checklist it also provides a guide around the different stages of an auto-enrolment project.

Johnson Fleming have broken the guide down into 6 key sections –

Project – looking at the mechanics of how to manage the project and advice on project maintenance

Review – which areas of the business need to be reviewed at the outset of the project

Scheme – decisions that need to be made about the scheme and it’s design

Process – which internal processes need to be reviewed and how to fill process gaps

People – how the workforce should be dealt with in an auto-enrolment project

Reporting – how to make sure employers capture all the information they need to.

Commenting on the checklist, Iain Chadwick, Johnson Fleming’s consultancy director said:

“We conducted a survey of HR and pension professionals to find out what they were finding the biggest challenge when it came to auto-enrolment. Project management of the changes came out on top, so this checklist and guide is designed to try and ease that burden.
