The American Failure nominated for Best Short Film at the Burbank International Film Festival

The film stars award-winning actor Said Faraj who also co-wrote and produced it, and who recently won Best Actor for the portrayal of a tormented attorney hunted by the cartel and the law
 
BURBANK, Calif. - Aug. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- The film The American Failure has been selected as an official entrant into the Burbank International Film Festival and is nominated for Best Short Film. It is scheduled to screen on Friday, Sept. 6th during the 7pm block.

The American Failure recently screened at the Action On Film International Film Festival, resulting in two award wins for Said Faraj, including Best Actor in a Feature, besting noted actor Skeet Ulrich (As Good As It Gets; TV’s Jericho; etc), among others in that same category, as well as winning Best Actor in a Short Film. The film follows L.A. attorney Carlos Elias, who finds himself on the run from both a ruthless drug cartel and the law after extorting millions of dollars. It was also produced and co-written by Faraj.

Said Faraj’s work can be seen in acclaimed films, including: Green Zone (Matt Damon, Greg Kinnear); The Siege (Denzel Washington, Annette Bening); Bad Influence (Rob Lowe, James Spader); True Romance (Christian Slater, Patricia Arquette); and others.
