Product Liability Attorney Ashley Sybesma Of Hinshaw & Culbertson Llp Appointed To Florida Bar’s

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Aug. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Ashley Sybesma, a products liability attorney in the Fort Lauderdale office of the national law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, has been appointed by the President of The Florida Bar, Eugene Pettis, to serve on the Bar's Vision 2016 Commission, which will perform an in-depth review of the future practice of law, focusing on four general areas: legal education, technology, bar admissions and the delivery of legal services/pro bono.

The Commission will examine the legal profession's current and long-term challenges, and it will study, analyze and arrive at recommended solutions to address each issue. According to Pettis, this comprehensive study will help the foundation to “prepare today’s lawyer for tomorrow’s practice.” Sybesma will serve on the subgroup examining legal education, which will study issues such as curriculum, pipeline initiatives, accreditation standards, how to reduce the cost of legal education, and the proliferation of law schools.

Sybesma focuses her practice in the areas of products liability defense, general liability defense, commercial litigation and bankruptcy and creditors’ rights. She has served as litigation counsel for national corporations, general contractors, health care providers and retailers. She has also served on The Florida Bar’s Board of Governors Young Lawyers Division for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit and served on several committees for the Broward County Bar Association. Sybesma received her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law.
