Kimberley Kennedy Teams Up With WIFTA
Emmy award-winning Journalist turned author Kimberley Kennedy is teaming up with Georgia's foremost entertainment industry in support of women, Women In Film & Television Atlanta, as the host its 39th Annual WIFTA Gala & Awards Ceremony October 20th.

The evening promises to be a wonderfully entertaining night for Gala attendees. In addition to honoring notable entertainment industry professionals and organizations, this year's Gala fundraiser will also include a screening of one of the projects created through this year's WIFTA PSA and Mentorship Program, the presentation of the WIFTA Tuition Scholarship, a silent auction and time for networking and dancing.
The WIFTA 39th Annual Gala Awards Ceremony & Dinner is open to the public. It will be held on October 20, 2013 at the Georgia World Congress Center, which is located at 285 Andrew Young International Blvd. NW Atlanta, GA, in the Thomas Murphy Ballroom (bldg B) starting at 7:30pm. Kimberley Kennedy is an Emmy award-winning journalist who’s spent the majority of her career in the Atlanta market as a news reporter, anchor, writer, and producer at WSB, WXIA and CNN Headline News. She is now partnering with friends Vikki Locke and Meg Reggie in LRK Media, parlaying her television skills as a media and communications coach, helping companies and individuals define and effectively communicate their unique messages.
Kennedy is also the author of the book “Left at the Altar: My Story of Hope and Healing for Every Woman Who Has Felt the Heartbreak of Rejection.” Her story has appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America and Primetime. Women In Film & Television Atlanta (WIFTA), a 501c-3 Georgia non-profit, is a member-based professional organization affiliated with other Women In Film chapters around the world. Since our inception in 1974, the Atlanta chapter has proudly had a membership community of multi-generational and culturally diverse professionals, which include producers, directors, actors, entertainment attorneys, camera and sound technicians, film editors, graphic design artists, make-up artists, wardrobe specialists, screenwriters, talent agents and casting directors.
