CAMPBELL, Calif. - Aug. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Prolific DIY and Bestselling author Deborah Dolen (http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/6430913.Deborah_Dolen) joined GoodReads in the summer of 2013. GoodReads was purchased by Amazon dot com in the Spring of 2013.
Deborah Dolen (http://www.amazon.com/Deborah-Dolen/e/B00457BI2S) has written 29 books which have been all available on Kindle since 2008 and Barnes and Noble Nook (http://www.barnesandnoble.com/c/deborah-dolen) since 2012. Dolen's print books were taken out of print in 2008 to be exclusively on Amazon Kindle at that time. This move spurred many of her print versions to be collector’s items.
Deborah Dolen (http://www.deborahdolen.com/) joins 68,000 authors on the GoodReads platform where she now hosts her own official Authors Blog. “I love the fact Amazon owns it” Dolen said. Amazon is very supportive of GoodReads and allows the hugely popular website (that was started in a living room by two women seven years ago) to continue to grow with their start vision as well as operate independently of Amazon. Author Deborah Dolen loves the GoodReads platform finding she is more "one on one" with her customers than any other book platform available. She feels GoodReads is the place any aspiring author or published author should be and GoodReads is the most solid platform bringing books and readers together to date. Sites come and go and often it is hard to know where to market your books and not waste energy if the site is not successful. GoodReads is in the for the long haul and treats its web visitors like gold.
Deborah Dolen is most noted for her “Floral Design” book and two one hour videos about Floral Design that are available on Amazon instant. “They were designed to teach a vocational skill that could pay well but be mastered in a few days as opposed to a few years.” Deborah has several degrees but felt every time she graduated from years of schooling the target occupation was phased out by the economy – such as her highest degree in psychology. “I wanted to be a therapist, but insurance stopped paying for private therapy in 1995 just when I graduated from EckerdCollege. Unless you wanted to work in a psychiatric hospital, and I sure did not, then the income was not going to be there for me.” Deborah Dolen says. “I made sure all of my craft videos at least offered short term vocation skills.” Lucky, floral design will probably never be phased out. Deborah Dolen’s newest book was inspired from her second bestselling book “Handwriting Analysis in Psychology.” It is called “Killer Handwriting” and available exclusively on Amazon Kindle at the present time due to an agreement with Amazon for exclusivity. The GoodReads platform brings Dolen’s books altogether and customers from any topic can share and discuss her work with her. “As I just turned fifty and my kids are grown, it is a place I am making a lot of friends!” She smiles.
