BEDFORD, Mass. - Aug. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Libman Education, a leading provider of training for the health care workforce, announces free trials of its ICD-10-CM course, ICD-10-PCS course, and anatomy and physiology skills assessment. Each trial lasts seven days—during which time participants can experience firsthand some of what the assessment/course has to offer.

The assessment helps medical coders gauge their readiness for the October 1, 2014 ICD-10 deadline, while the courses help them to prepare for it.

Libman Education’s ICD-10-CM course, Introduction to ICD-10-CM for Coding Professionals, is written by Gail I. Smith, MA, RHIA, CCS-P, a nationally recognized leader in ICD-10 coding education. The course highlights the key changes in ICD-10-CM diagnostic coding, and includes exercises and case studies applicable to any clinical setting.

The ICD-10-CM course free trial includes a portion of lesson one of the seven-lesson course. Participants learn the format and structure of ICD-10-CM, and what’s new in the classification system – including combination codes and placeholders.

Libman Education’s ICD-10-PCS course, Introduction to ICD-10-PCS, is written by Lynn Kuehn, a nationally recognized leader in ICD-10 coding education. The course is an introduction to the structure and design of the ICD-10-PCS system and the content of the coding guidelines.

The ICD-10-PCS course free trial includes a portion of lesson one of the six-lesson course, and features various learning tools used in the course. Participants can access sample pages with anatomical drawings, as well as four assessment questions showing the types of questions in each lesson’s final assessment.

Libman Education’s Anatomy and Physiology Skills Assessment is a tool to help organizations determine their medical coders' ICD-10 coding proficiency. It consists of one hundred and twenty questions covering twelve critical body systems that correspond to Libman Education’s popular Anatomy & Physiology for Coders course.

The free trial is a shortened version with two questions from each of the twelve body systems.
