Imbesi Christensen wins another appeal on behalf of a school teacher

NEW YORK - Aug. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Imbesi Christensen successfully defended an an appeal of an initial hearing award issued in favor of the firm's client.

In the initial hearing, attorney Brittany Weiner, an associate of the law firm, successfully represented a school teacher who was initially denied unemployment benefits based upon an alleged wilfil misrepresentation.

The hearing judge issued an award in favor of the firm's client after a hearing was conducted.  The decision overruled the initial determination that the employee made a wilful misrepresentation to obtain benefits.

Subsequent to the decision, the employer filed an appeal, requesting the initial decision in favor of the firm's client be overruled.  The Honorable George Friedmand, on behalf of the Appeal Board, denied employer's appeal and determined that the hearing judge's decision should be affirmed.  As a result, the law firm's client is allowed to maintain the benefits awarded after the initial hearing.
