Equiom strengthens Jersey proposition with staff appointments and promotion

DOUGLAS, U.K. - Aug. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- The Equiom Group, a leading provider of trust and corporate services, headquartered in the Isle of Man but with offices in Jersey and Malta are pleased to announce that Paul Embery and James Wolfson have joined their Jersey office.

Paul has been appointed to the role of Senior Manager, Client Services with responsibility for the delivery of services to the Jersey client base.  Paul brings with him over 30 years experience gained in the United Kingdom, Bahamas and Jersey within both the financial and offshore trust and company sectors.  He is an Associate of the Institute of Financial Services.

James joins the Equiom Legal Team as Legal Counsel and will be based in Jersey.  James specialises in international private client tax and estate planning, involving trusts, foundations, corporate entities and related wealth planning and commercial strategies.  He has over 30 years international experience obtained in South Africa, the Isle of Man and Jersey holding various senior appointments including Associate Director within a large commercial law firm.

In addition to the new appointments Equiom are also delighted to announce the promotion of Scott Le Cornu to Manager, Marine and Aviation Services.  Scott is responsible for managing Equiom’s Marine and Aviation Services subsidiary which provides niche employment solutions to owners, operators and vessel managers.  With over 13 years experience within the marine industry, Scott has gained a wide range of invaluable industry and management knowledge.  He works closely with his team advising clients on all aspects of marine legislation to ensure full and continued compliance.

In respect of his promotion Scott said: “With recent changes to maritime legislation it has become increasingly important that owners and operators are compliant – and this is where Equiom can add value.  I am delighted to take on the additional responsibility within the team and greatly look forward to continuing the growth of Equiom’s business within this sector.”
