Global Surrogacy India (GSI) has new ties with Manipal Assisted Reproduction Center (MARC)

MUMBAI, India - Aug. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Mumbai Aug 27^th, 2013: It has been a feather in the cap of GSI, when they established new ties with MARC, Manipal. Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal is known all over the world for its standard of education as well as the hub of education centers in South India. The department of Gynecology and Obstetrics has been working hard from the past many years to treat couples with primary and secondary infertility in the coastal and rural areas.

However in the recent years it has come to light that more and more couples face problems with fertility and many of these couples need egg donors and surrogate mothers in order to realize their dream of a family. The doctors at MARC were on the lookout FOR third party reproduction facilitators to help them in this venture of finding good egg donors and surrogate mothers for their intended parents.

GSI was a top choice for Dr. Pratap Kumar, head of MARC. GSI has entered into a formal agreement with MARC to provide egg donors and surrogate mothers at Manipal. ‘It has now been 3 months since GSI has been recruiting and sending egg donors to MARC’ stated the director of GSI. ‘We are extremely proud and happy to be associated with such a prestigious institution. Several couples who were sent back and referred to major cities like Bangalore and Mumbai for their infertility treatment have now found a way out in Manipal itself. Couples requiring egg donors and surrogate mothers were not treated in Manipal due to the lack of egg donors. But since the past 3 months many couples have found a way out and have also seen positive results with egg donor cycles.

The cycles are scheduled for every month till the end of the year. The egg donors are selected on a very strict criteria adhering to the laws formulated by ICMR. They are then stimulated in Mumbai and then taken to Manipal when they are ready for their procedures. On the other hand the recipient couples are prepared and kept ready to accept donor eggs for their IVF cycles in Manipal. ‘We have given good success to many couples and hope to make more couples happy in the coming months’ noted the director.

Since the scenario of infertility is on a rampant change, there is a dire shortage of egg donors and surrogate mothers in many of the rural places. The only way to help these centers help their couples is by hiring good third party reproduction facilitators who will facilitate the work of recruiting egg donors. Mumbai is a hub for egg donors and there are several women ready to donate their eggs to help the less fortunate.

More and more women are stepping forward to go to remote places to donate eggs and help couples complete their family.
