In her second novel, “Maggie Vargas: To Catch a Killer,” author Beth Otto unfurls a masterful story built on compelling characters and a potent intensity captured on every page
The small town of Rockford, Michigan has been keeping a secret for years…
…that the recently unemployed social worker, Maggie Vargas, is a psychic.
But even Maggie is unprepared for what her future holds.
Trapped between the love of two men, Nic Rossi and Danny O’Brian, Maggie must turn her focus to the task at hand—helping the local police solve a mysterious murder.
But the killer’s trail has gone ice cold.
For Maggie, it’s time to put her psychic ability into practice.
Soon, she recognizes that she has become the prey in a deadly game of cat and mouse, and the predator stalking her is none other than the same shadowy killer the police are searching for.
As the death toll continues to rise, and more bodies are discovered floating in the local river, Maggie must take her gift to a whole new level before the serial killer strikes again.
With the help of law enforcement and a dear friend, Maggie must reach deep down and utilize all of her resources if she ever hopes…To Catch a Killer.
