Vox Optima adds Tampa Bay PR pro to D.C. staff

WASHINGTON - Aug. 27, 2013 - PRLog -- WASHINGTON, D.C. – Vox Optima welcomes public relations expert Jennifer Harman as the newest addition to its growing staff of D.C.-based public relations professionals.

According to Executive Director and owner, Merritt Hamilton Allen, the Tampa Bay native and U.S. Naval Reservist brings considerable public relations and broadcasting experience to her service-disabled veteran-owned small business to help support her major government and military clients.
 
“I couldn’t be happier that Jennifer chose Vox Optima as the next step in her public relations career,” said Allen. “As a company made up by veterans and looking to employ veterans, we quickly recognized that her Navy public relations background and experience with government, commercial and non-profit organizations and clients would expand Vox Optima’s expertise and quality of service to our clients.”

Harman adds 10 years of Navy experience and training in strategic communications, crisis communication and newswriting to the company’s skill sets.  She also has 13 years of civilian experience in print and broadcast product promotional campaigns, digital photography; radio and TV broadcasting, copywriting and editing of feature stories and press releases, designing and producing newsletters, graphic design, website content management, social media management, and corporate event planning.  

When not supporting Vox Optima clients, Harman volunteers on the Board of Directors for the national non-profit American Public Safety Football League as the public information officer and marketing director for the Tampa Bay Sentinels and Tampa Bay Public Safety Charity. Harman also serves as a wine advisor for Wines For Humanity, a non-profit working to raise money to prevent homelessness.

Harman holds a bachelor’s from St. Leo University in marketing and business administration as well as an associate degree from Hillsborough Community College in radio and television broadcasting. As the newest member of the Vox Optima team, Harman will be supporting D.C.-based clients with public relations management and organization as well as media relations and internal communications strategy.
