Delray Beach Senior Living Community Receives Five-Star Rating

Aug. 27, 2013 - PRLog -- Abbey Delray senior living community has earned a five-star quality rating in its Health Center. The prestigious recognition from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is given to only the top 10 percent of senior health care providers in each state. Ratings are based on surveys for quality measures, onsite inspections and staffing.

The Agency for Health Care Admission comes unannounced every year to conduct surveys and inspections at health care centers throughout the state of Florida.

“We work to deliver the highest level of care to our residents and their families,” said David Randazzo, executive director of Abbey Delray. “Receiving a five-star rating is a true testament to the phenomenal work by our staff in the Health Center, and I’m proud to see their efforts recognized on a state and national level.”

Senior health care and skilled nursing providers have more than 200 regulations to follow every day, leading to a potential for experiencing minor human errors. Abbey Delray achieved the five-star rating, even while continuing to take new admissions during the survey and inspection window.

“We’ve worked hard to help the Health Center achieve a five-star rating, and we’re going to continue to work hard to maintain it and make sure our residents are happy,” said Jim Burns, health administrator for Abbey Delray’s Health Center.
