CHANDLER, Ariz. - Aug. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- CHANDLER (AZ)—Brighton Publishing LLC is pleased to announce the print release of Vern A. Westfall’s latest work, “The Philosophical Pilot: Three Fathers, Three Wives, Nine Lives.” Vern A. Westfall reaches deep into his past and conveys the most precious—and exhilarating—moments of an intensely profound life. “The Philosophical Pilot: Three Fathers, Three Wives, Nine Lives” is currently distributed in print through Ingram, the world’s largest book distributor, and is available in both print and eBook format from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other leading book retailers worldwide. All Brighton Publishing titles are also available worldwide via the Espresso Book Machine.

One man can offer great perspective on life, especially when that one man is author and former US Air Force pilot, Vern A. Westfall. Westfall’s journey begins with an insatiable appetite for adventure, and goes on to take him around the globe and eventually, into a life of fatherhood.

A small, isolated place in the Arizona desert would give birth to Westfall’s enduring mission—a lifelong quest that would generate scores of philosophical nuggets along the way.

Search for meaning with Westfall from the cockpit of an RF-4 Phantom as he soars at Mach 1 high above the Arctic Circle…

Battle through the nearly impenetrable jungles of the Philippines during the Vietnam War…

…or sit with him and ponder the essence of human emotion while gazing into the hopeful eyes of his daughter…

“Vern A. Westfall’s dynamic biographical account reveals an often daring, and almost always experiential approach to life: teach, learn, live, and love to the fullest,” said Kathie McGuire, director of Brighton Publishing. “In The Philosophical Pilot: Three Fathers, Three Wives, Nine Lives, Vern A. Westfall unveils a passion for life and a thirst for meaning that is shared by many, but experienced by a rare few.”

Vern Arthur Westfall began writing late in life. He has a degree in philosophy, has flown many special missions for the Air Force, has traveled the world, served as a foreign liaison officer, worked in civil and industrial engineering, designed over two-hundred new homes, been a flight instructor, a college instructor, a high school teacher, and taught talented and gifted children. In spite of his many careers, he counts his greatest accomplishment as having been a single parent. He sees life as something to be taken seriously at the level of ideas and, on a more practical level, with humor and suspicion.
