Vern Arthur Westfall began writing late in life. He has a degree in philosophy, has flown many special missions for the Air Force, has traveled the world, served as a foreign liaison officer, worked in civil and industrial engineering, designed over two-hundred new homes, been a flight instructor, a college instructor, a high school teacher, and taught talented and gifted children. In spite of his many careers, he counts his greatest accomplishment as having been a single parent. He sees life as something to be taken seriously at the level of ideas and, on a more practical level, with humor and suspicion.
