European Superstar, Virginia Bright, nominated for Female Artist of the Year

LOS ANGELES - Aug. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Spanish-UK European superstar, Virginia Bright, a.k.a. Queen LaV, has been making her mark in the United States since arriving on the music scene earlier this year. Now Bright, already an icon of the UK and Spanish music scene, has been nominated for Female Artist of the Year at the 23^rd Los Angeles Music Awards. The Ballot event to announce all nominees will take place at Whiskey-a-Go-Go on September 26^th. And the actual Red Carpet Gala for the Award Ceremony will be on Thursday, November 14th, 2013 @ The Avalon Theater in Hollywood.

Bright recently made a huge splash at the State Farm Billboard Latin Music Conference and Awards in Miami. She was welcomed by the American Latin Music community as a returning sister. There she garnered massive interest from both the US and international press.

Unlike many young pop artists, Virginia Bright is also an accomplished actor, director and producer. Her 2011 documentary film, “Can We Take Off The Blindfold?” looked at the diversity and powerful influence on all forms of art by persons of African heritage. The film included commentaries from legendary dance choreographer “Popin Pete,” American motivational speaker Les Brown and BBC Radio news journalist Henry Bonsu amongst many other celebrities from show business around the world.
