MUMBAI, India - Aug. 24, 2013 - PRLog -- Million couples are served every year by DKT India which is one of the largest private providers of family planning, reproductive health products and services in developing world. It was established in 1992 and DKT has been promoting family planning, HIV/AIDS prevention since 1989. We have been successful in preventing 7 million pregnancies, 11000 maternal deaths and 1.4 million abortions with our efforts. HIV/AIDS prevention in India and providing family health planning services is a big challenge. There can be severe financial problems on many Indian families due to lack of birth spacing and unplanned pregnancies. Special promotional activities in towns are conducted by DKT for the provision of affordable condoms to over 80000 retailers. Our products include injectable contraceptives, emergency and oral contraceptive pills, medical abortion and intrauterine devices (IUDs). One day workshops are conducted by DKT to train local village leaders in reproductive health.

Program of DKT in 2011 sold over 11 million oral contraceptives, 110 million condoms and 105,000 IUDs throughout India. We have improved in sales and services as our representatives provide invaluable information to customers. DKT India started in the western Indian states of Maharashtra, Gujarat and today it operates in 18 Indian states.
