Save the date! Woodland Hills Camera & Telescopes SIA Expo at LA Pierce College October 19th!

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. - Aug. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- The SIA Exposition, sponsored by Pierce College and Woodland Hills Camera & Telescopes (WHC&T), will be held at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, California on Saturday, October 19th from 10am to 6.00pm. Followed by the “Night Sky Star Party” at 7:00pm.

During the Expo, Pierce College Planetarium shows will be offered every two hours. Also, big solar telescopes will be available for you to watch the Sun as it hurls Coronal Masses onto the Earth. Watch Solar Flares, Sunspots, and listen to lectures from noted SETI Scientist Seth Shostak and renowned Celestial Imager, Wally Pacholka.  Solar Spectroscopy will be demonstrated by Stephen Ramsden.

Hundreds of Advanced Telescopes and Scores of Imaging Equipment will be on display. 

Raffles, Raffles, Raffles!!!

 

We will be raffling off Amazing Astronomy Equipment, raffle tickets will be on sale all day!  You may purchase a raffle ticket for the exact piece of equipment YOU want to win! Proceeds from the raffle will be donated to Pierce College and to the Charlie Bates Foundation.

The Raffle Prizes donated by industry leaders, include: Meade LX600 10” Telescope, New model Canon EOS 70D, Celestron Nexstar 8SE, Lunt Solar Telescope, SBIG Camera STF-8300M CCD, Apogee CG8050C Interline Color CCD Camera,  TeleVue Eyepieces, Explore Scientific  ED127CF Telescope and many more prizes, will be raffled off at 6.00pm. Raffle ticket purchaser must be present to win.
