2013 Race for HOPE 5K/1-Mile Walk/Run - Sat, Sept 7th - Mariners's Museum Park, Newport News, VA

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Aug. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- Everyone is invited to this family friendly event. It is a great opportunity for families, communities, and businesses to come together, have fun, get some exercise and support a great cause. 

All proceeds from this event will benefit the children of Sierra Leone by helping Share HEART meet their nutritional, medical and educational needs, as well as help with the cost of shipping a container of much needed materials and supplies.

Race highlights include:
·  Fun, games, and live entertainment for the whole family during and immediately after the race. Registration will begin at 7am and the 5K race will start at 8:30 a.m., followed by the 1-Mile fun run at 9:00 a.m.
·  Awards to top three finishers in each age group.
·  Each participant will receive a free T-shirt (guaranteed, if registered by August 24th)
