Gregory Blair’s Lunacy Looms Large in season 4 of “LOVE THAT GIRL!”

LOS ANGELES - Aug. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- Prolific actor Gregory Blair can be seen in the fourth season of Bentley Kyle Evans' Vision Award winning sitcom “LOVE THAT GIRL!” this fall.  Gregory is known for his offbeat characters and his recurring role as Weird Wendell in “LOVE THAT GIRL!” is no exception.

“Weird Wendell is the neighbor everyone knows but no one understands,” Blair explains.  “But that’s because he’s completely out of left field.  He can be psychotically scary one minute and then be completely lucid and amiable the next.”  Blair has played everything from dramatic villains to comical dopes and, with his role on “LOVE THAT GIRL!”, he says he gets to fuse both.  “Weird Wendell is antagonistic and creepy while being hilariously kooky at the same time.  So it’s playing into both ends of the spectrum and turning them in on each other.  Think Christopher Lloyd in 'Taxi'” meets Robert De Niro from 'Taxi Driver'.  That’s Weird Wendell.”

“LOVE THAT GIRL” is the creation of Bentley and Stacey Lyn Evans who continue to helm the show year after year.  The story has followed the comings and goings of Tyana Jones and her family, friends and neighbors.  Season four shifts the focus but not the comedy as madcap misadventures, delicious dramas and raucous situations continue to spiral in all directions.  Blair’s character Weird Wendell manages to stick his unwanted nose (and his bad hair and wacky wardrobe) into several occasions, unnerving all who cross his path with his oddball outbursts and disturbing demeanor.   And, more often than not, he will end conversations with his outrageous catch-phrase.  “It came out of a crazy, improvised moment,” Blair admits.  “But it makes everyone laugh every single time I say it.  And I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t beam if it became as famous as ‘Kiss my grits’, ‘That’s what she said’ or ‘Oh, my God! They killed Kenny!’.

Season four of “LOVE THAT GIRL!” began airing on TVOne in August 14, 2013.  Gregory appears in several episodes, including “Ain’t That About a Snitch”, “Love on the Dance Floor” and “My Way or the Hallway”.  Check your local listings for dates and times.  And prepare to get your weird on!
