MELBOURNE, Fla. - Aug. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Filmmaker, actor and producer Greg Pitts, in association with Lamar Pitts TV, LLC , will premier his comedy short "The Adventures of Ed and Rudy" at the15th Annual Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festival in Melbourne, Florida.  

The short film can be seen during the festival's Friday night line up during the "Late Night Grindhouse" segment which begins at 11:00 p.m. and is for ages 17 and older.

In the short film, friends Ed & Rudy's lives take a turn due to Rudy's fraudulent business. Rudy is a cyber criminal who steals money off of people's credit cards. While his fiends Ed & La Mer tell him to stop, Rudy swears 'they can't find me!' While every thing seems to be in favor of Rudy, La Mer and Ed's prediction comes to fruition. What will happen to Rudy now?

This will be one of two films produced, written and directed by Greg Pitts that will screen at this year's festival. His second film, "The Art of Sound" will be shown on Saturday September 7th during the "Florida Filmmakers and More" segment which begins at 9:00 a.m.  "The Art of Sound" is an experimental avant-garde film that explores the manner in which sound resonates and exemplifies fusion of art with waves of sound.

The Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festival is in its 15th year and continues to be a fun venue for some of today's most inventive filmmakers.  Proceeds from the festival support the local charities - The Children's Hunger Project, which provides weekend food backpacks to elementary school-age hungry children along the Space Coast, and No Limits Academy- a not-for-profit Christian school for physically disabled children ages 6 to 21. It is located in Melbourne, FL.

The Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festival is held September 6-7, 2013 at Oaks 10 Stadium Theaters with events and film screenings that begin at 3:00 p.m. Friday September 6th and runs through the weekend, culminating Saturday September 7th at the VIP After-Party at 8:45 p.m.
