Spotlite Radio Presents Beverly Wallin

SURREY, British Columbia - Aug. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Beverly has miraculously survived many types of abuse first-hand in her family of origin, from boyfriends and in her first marriage. Both of her children have also been victims. Wallin is stopping this abuse from continuing down the generations and is helping those she comes into contact with.

She continues to work at a Transition Home for women and children fleeing domestic violence for 13 years and counting. Although the women's stories are all different there are even more similarities. Before that she volunteered as a counsellor in a community centre for Women experiencing Domestic Violence and on crisis lines.

Not only has Beverly Wallin had her own experiences and listened to and helped others with domestic abuse, she has the education to back it up. With a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, she has taken extended classes on domestic violence, and was trained as a Health and Wellness Coach. She understands and promotes healing in all areas of a person’s life: mind, body and spirit.

 

Her passion now is to write and speak about Domestic Violence. Her topic today is not something that we want to listen to but something that society needs to hear and to be informed about. Bringing consciousness to the subject of domestic violence is critical.She believes that many victims’ lives will be saved and also their quality of life improved if the public gets educated and involved.
