“While our competitions are beginning to attract pro level competitors, our organization is all about giving back to the kids and families in our community.  For over 14 years, we have provided a year-round program where youth can develop their skills in an encouraging and caring environment,” said Justin Winford, director of Lakewood SK8.  “Additionally, parents value having a safe, positive place where they know their child will not be bullied or hurt.  By building relationships with youth, we have the opportunity to care for them and show them in tangible ways that they are valuable.”  Since 1999, over 4,000 young people have participated in action sports at Lakewood SK8.

First Baptist Church of Lakewood is located at 5336 East Arbor Road in Long Beach conveniently located near the 91, 605 and 405 freeways. Major cross streets are Del Amo and Bellflower Boulevard.
