Sheraton Holds Soccer for Charity

Aug. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- In line with its firm belief in contributing to the community and supporting the underprivileged, Sheraton Amman Al Nabil Hotel recently hosted a ‘Soccer for Charity’ event to raise funds for UNICEF.

Under the umbrella of “Road to Awareness” a long term partnership between Starwood Hotels and Resorts and UNICEF, the event’s main activity was a soccer match between Princess Sumaya University for Technology and the Sheraton Amman Al Nabil Hotel female football teams held at the University Park.

Hundreds of students and supporters attended the ‘Soccer for Charity’ event and enjoyed a variety of activities, including a DJ concert, a performance of Zorba’s dance,  music shows, and a bazaar.

Attendees also received gifts in appreciation of their support.

The day concluded with a surprise performance by soccer freestyle performer Motaz Al-Qawasmi, of Arabs Got Talent fame.

Sheraton Amman Al Nabil Hotel, General Manager Mr. Enda Mullin, said ‘Soccer for Charity’ was a great success and offered quality entertainment for an excellent cause.

“These events allow us to care for the local communities and to support the relief efforts of UNICEF which contributes effectively to our corporate social responsibility programs.”
