LOS ANGELES - Aug. 17, 2013 - PRLog -- Localista Magazine began life as an online news site in the winter of 2013.  They grew to cover 21 cities and are now launching a hyper-local print magazine with a distribution targets between 3000 and 10,000 copies for each city.

As part of their growth strategy, Localista Magazine will be licensing their brand and model to local news and printing professionals in both the US and Canada. Each licensee will be given the tools they need to make their Local Edition succeed.

The first 10 qualified Patch Local Editors will be given 6 months of Local Edition licensing at no cost. “We feel a great deal of compassion for Patch Local Editors who have given so much to their communities and have now been terminated despite incredible success in their local markets,” states Erik N Bowman, Publisher and CEO of Localista Magazine. “Many of the Patch Local Editors have built up substantial personal relationships with the local business owners and the local community. We believe these relationships are invaluable and should continue to be supported.”

In line with Localista Magazine’s mission to feature content that highlights locals, leaders and builds community, the company believes that this level of community-focused content is craved by readers who have many choices to get their information, “People want to get local news and information from a source they can trust. We hope to provide that.”

Localista has created an application specifically for Patch Local Editors located at http://www.localistamagazine.com/local-editions/associate-publisher-application/
