Venus House Bags Top Ranking in Pilani Rajasthan JMA Patriotic Song Competition

To mark the 66th anniversary of Indian Independence Day, JMA Pilani conducted a Patriotic Song Competition on 14 August 2013. The four houses of JMA namely Venus, Jupiter, Mercury and Neptune participated in the same. Each house had picked up a patriotic song of their choice mentored by their House advisor teachers. Mrs Swati Keskar Electrical Electronics Instrumentation Faculty from Birla Institute of Technology and Science – BITS Pilani for whom Music is indeed a Passion graced the occasion as Chief Guest and judged the proceedings also. In the keenly fought competition, Venus House emerged as the winner for the song “Tu Zinda Hai To, Zindgi ki Jeet Mein Yakin Kar” and Runner up was Jupiter house for the song “Jai Jai Rashtra Mahan”. Venus got 10 points, Jupiter 9 points, Mercury 7 points , and Neptune 6 points out of 10."   

JMA Principal Mrs Booma Natarajan thanked chief guest Mrs Swati Keskar for sparing her very valuable time and the team of teachers who groomed the students for the competition and announced that the winner up and runner up teams would receive the prize from the hands of Area Director for Special Olympics Bharat State of Rajasthan Sri UK Pandey who is also the Principal of Amla Birla Kendra School for Special Children Pilani designated Chief Guest for 67th Independence Day Celebrations at JMA School Grounds on August 15, 2013. The participants left the school with their faces beaming with pride that they were indeed part of an institution which is a jewel in the crown among various schools at Pilani.
