Bel Canto Chorus Announces Auditions

MILWAUKEE - Aug. 14, 2013 - PRLog -- Milwaukee, WI - Bel Canto Chorus, under the direction of Richard Hynson, announces auditions for its 2013-14 Season.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Mequon United Methodist Church, 11011 N. Oriole Ln., Mequon, WI. Auditions are by appointment only between 10:00 am and noon. The audition process includes a short solo work, a duet, sight reading, and aural skills. An accompanist will be provided. Interested singers should call the Bel Canto office at (414) 481-8801.

 

In its 83rd year, Bel Canto is a premier choral group with approximately 100 singers, primarily from Southeastern Wisconsin and Northeastern Illinois. The chorus performs between October and June at various venues throughout Southeastern Wisconsin, and holds weekly rehearsals at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center. The 2013-14 season includes performances of Duruflé's Requiem, Poulenc's Gloria, Seven Last Words from the Cross by James MacMillan, Morten Lauridsen's Lux Aeterna, and Carmina Burana by Carl Orff.
