Chico AIDS Walk/Run 5K to Support Free Local Testing
Walk to support free local HIV testing and counseling services.

CHICO, CA, AUGUST 14, 2013 —Registration is open for the second annual Chico AIDS Walk/Run held on Saturday, August 24th at the One Mile Recreation Area. Registration is $25 in advance or $30 the day of the event. All proceeds go to purchasing HIV test kits for free local testing. Visit www.facebook.com/
Testing is provided by Caring Choices in partnership with the Stonewall Alliance Center, Butte County Public Health and Home & Health Care Management. Testing days are held every Tuesday from 4-6pm and on the first Saturday of every month from 10-12pm at the Stonewall Alliance Center located at 358 East 6th St in Chico.
Caring Choices’ also has a comprehensive HIV/AIDS Project reaching eight Northern California counties and providing experienced Nurse and Social Worker case management to over 300 people infected with and affected by HIV in the service area. Additional services include: food, housing and drug assistance at no cost to those who qualify.
As a local and charitable nonprofit, Caring Choices relies on volunteers and community donations to support the various programs and projects that serve our community.
