Party Girl, a brand new Super Hero Web Series coming in 2014!
Parents expect a lot of us.
From the moment they know you’re coming they have your entire life mapped out. What subjects
you will like, what sports you will play, when you will date, marry, have kids, they just have all the answers, don’t they?
Except for when you decide to change the questions.
That’s where Rachel Buchanan finds herself. Anxious to get out from under the weight of her mother’s missed opportunities as a teenager, Rachel searches to find what she wants to do and the person she wants to be.
Things get complicated when she decides the answer to that question is to be a masked crime fighter, to be PARTY GIRL.
Party Girl is a new Web series from Bj Lewis and his production group, Taurian Films.
The action drama series will be the third Web series from Lewis, who has produced the comedy series Dial-A-Ranger and Insourcing.
It features stories of young people trying to find their place in the world and deal with the expectations parents and life has heaped on them.
Denton County’s own Jeanne Lampley leads a talented crop of talent from all over north Texas, as the title character Rachel Buchanan.
Other feature cast members include Jenni Mabrey as Evelyn Buchanan, Rachel’s overbearing mother, D.J. Economou (Edward Buchanan), Giovannie Cruz (Red Rose/White Rose), Jacob Drum (Benton Alridge), Ada Perez (Connie Lopez), Samantha Rieff (Michelle Buchanan) and a host of other talented actors and crew members working to bring this story to life.
Production on the 12-episode first season is set to wrap in October. The show will debut online in January, 2014 following a premiere at the Texas Theatre. New episodes and digital photo web comics that continue the action between episodes will follow, released weekly.
This has been a large undertaking, but once it all comes together, will tell a great story that will touch people in the same situation as many of the characters in the story and give people a fun show to get into along the way.
