Consigning Women to Hold First "Winery & Finery" Event Benefitting Rose Haven Shelter

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. - Aug. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- Consigning Women announces its first annual Wine Dinner Series, “Winery & Finery,” on Friday, September 27, 2013 at the Lake Oswego Heritage House to benefit Rose Haven. This exclusive event will feature cuisine by John and Caprial Pence, paired with wine from Natalie’s Estate Winery, and Tim Ellis performing live acoustic music.

Born out of the idea of combining amazing Oregon wines, excellent guest chefs, and support for women's charities, “Winery & Finery” is the brainchild of Consigning Women owners, Stephanie Sparkman and Peter Stack. “Consigning Women has had a long history of supporting charities in the community, and we thought an upscale event like Winery & Finery would be a fun way to feature other local businesses and music, while contributing to local organizations in need.” Sparkman and Stack decided against using a typical model of silent auctions, since the ticket price covers the cost of the event and attendees may choose to donate beyond what they’ve already contributed. All of the organizational costs have been donated by Consigning Women and any profits generated from the dinner will be donated to Rose Haven.

Located in Portland, Oregon, Rose Haven is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of homeless and abused women and children. Rose Haven relies on community contributions to provide clothing, shelter, and food, but also support in helping women return to the workforce through empowering them with the tools and resources to be self-sufficient.
