SANTA CLARA, Calif.—12 August 2013—Atypon®, the leading provider of Software as a Service content
delivery for publishers, has named Jonathan Hevenstone its Senior Vice President of Business Development, reporting to Georgios Papadopoulos, Atypon’s CEO.

Hevenstone will be responsible for setting and executing Atypon's market and sales strategy as well as managing its sales and business development unit, which includes staff in the US and Europe.

Says Georgios Papadopoulos, “I am bringing Jonathan into the company at an inflection point as we are looking to accelerate our sales and marketing efforts. Atypon has added a record number of clients in the last year and has enjoyed double digit growth each of the last three years. Jonathan’s energy, creativity, and experienced leadership will help us propel our company to the next level.”

Hevenstone brings to Atypon a diverse background in publishing and related technologies. He joins Atypon from SourceHOV, a $500M US BPO firm, where as VP Business Development he productized turnkey eBook solutions and SaaS business process management platforms for the publishing and information industries.

Prior to that, Hevenstone spent seven years at Paris-based publishing services company Jouve, initially running a pioneering eBook services and technology startup that through acquisition became Jouve’s North American subsidiary. During this period, Hevenstone built relationships with some of the world's largest book publishers and online eBook retailers, including Sony, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Apple. He also played a significant role in the development of eBook-related services and standards that have helped enable the rapid growth of digital book publishing.

Hevenstone started his career in trade publishing at Doubleday Books and the Sterling Lord Literary Agency. He later joined the Modern Language Association—a current Atypon customer—to run the organization’s digital production department.

Hevenstone holds an BA from Dartmouth College and an MA from New York University.
