Campaign Asks Customers to Tag #JerseyShoreCone on Personal Photos with Cone and Share; Enormous Foam Ice Cream Cone Makes Mark as Jersey Shore Boardwalk Destination; Claims to Help Boardwalk Visitors “Never Get Lost Again”

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J. - Aug. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- Since opening on Memorial Day weekend, the Shake Shoppe Arcade at Seaside Heights has attracted thousands of New Jersey residents and visitors to its jaw dropping outdoor façade, delicious ice cream, candy and baked goods, and fun arcade games. But what really has people coming back is the Jersey Shore Cone, an enormous foam structure affixed to the exterior of the Shake Shoppe Arcade building.

The Shake Shoppe Arcade has named the massive structure the “Jersey Shore Cone” and is asking visitors to the boardwalk to take a photo with the cone and share it via Twitter and/or Instagram with the tag #JerseyShoreCone. The best photos will be posted to the Shake Shoppe Arcade’s website JerseyShoreCone.com and select photographers will receive free ice cream.

“The Jersey Shore Cone has been drawing tons of attention since they day it went up,” said Jody Yedman, Shake Shoppe Arcade General Manager. “Our customers as well as visitors to the boardwalk love it and definitely can’t help but stare when walking by our building. It was only natural to invite them to take photos with the cone and share them via social media to receive prizes.”

The Jersey Shore Cone (and the building’s entire exterior facade) was built by Shake Shoppe Arcade co-owner PrimeTime Amusements, a South Florida-based arcade amusements company (www.primetimeamusements.com), and its theming division Prop Creations (www.propcreations.com). The Jersey Shore Cone is constructed from Styrofoam (which keeps it light weight) and hard-coated with a Styrothane Hardcoat System (which strengthens and seals the items from weather damage) before being painted. As a result, the finished product is lightweight and easy to transport, yet waterproof with the ability to be kept indoors and outdoors. The Jersey Shore Cone was created using a combination of CNC 3-D Cutting machinery and hand sculpturing.
