WORCESTER, Mass. - Aug. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- Mark Lund, executive producer, director and writer, is pleased to announce additional screening opportunities for the feature film Justice Is Mind. From its world premiere on August 18, 2013 at the Palace Theatre in Albany, NY as part of the Capital District Film Festival, Justice Is Mind will start its North American theatrical tour that will include screenings in a variety of venues from theatres to law schools and science fiction conventions.

Set in the near future where advanced MRI technology can read your memory, Justice Is Mind follows businessman and restaurant owner Henri Miller who has been afflicted with unexplained headaches since childhood. When he has the new FVMRI procedure and it reveals that he has allegedly shot and killed two people, the trial of the century begins in which Miller is faced with his own memory at trial. But all is not as it seems as a dark family secret, held by Henri’s minister father Joseph, reveals itself during the trial.

“First, I could not be more excited about the final cut of Justice Is Mind. It’s simply a very exciting time for the entire team,” said Lund. “The theatres, law schools and science fiction conventions signing up to screen Justice represent exactly what the film is – an independent legal drama around cutting-edge medical technology and fringe science.”

Theatrical screenings include the world premiere of Justice Is Mind at The Palace Theatre in Albany, NY on August 18, 2013, The Strand Theatre in Clinton, MA on September 16, 2013 and The Leavitt Theatre in Ogunquit, ME on September 28, 2013.  Boston University School of Law, Pepperdine University School of Law and North Carolina Central University School of Law have signed to screen Justice Is Mind and will be announcing their screening dates shortly. The science fiction conventions, VCON (Vancouver, BC), ORYCON (Portland, OR), LOSCON (Los Angeles, CA) and PENGUICON (Pontiac, MI) will screen Justice Is Mind as part of their programming. All dates and future screening locations will be announced on Justice Is Mind’s website www.justiceismind.com as they come online. The official trailer can be viewed at this link:

“As an independent film these screening opportunities are a great start to build momentum and awareness of Justice Is Mind as we review distribution opportunities for the film,” said Lund. “When you consider recent decisions by the Supreme Court in the United States regarding DNA and individual rights, articles in mainstream publications that discuss the possibility of the government obtaining search warrants for your memory and intelligence agency scandals, Justice Is Mind couldn’t be better timed.”
