The Civil War Museum is nationally significant for the 100+ signatures, art and poetry created by Union Soldiers. It provides an insight into typical life of a soldier. The annual Fairfax Civil War Day is hosted here every year on April 27.

The Patriot Center is located on the campus of George Mason University. It is actually a 10,000-seat arena. In the recent past, this was ranked No.8 and No.9 nationwide and worldwide respectively on the basis of top grossing venues with a capacity between 10,0001 and 15,000 by Billboard Magazine.

Ox Hill Battlefield Park is the place where battle was fought during the American Civil War. This was the only major battle fought in the county of Fairfax. Today it is a prominent public park in proximity with Fairfax Towne Center shopping center.

Lake Accotinik is a reservoir and is surrounded by a a beautiful park. It has bike trails for the biking enthusiasts. There are also canoes, paddle boats and row boats available on rent.

Burke Lane Park is another park where you can spent a day with your friends and family. Here you have the facilities for fishing, boating, camping and many more.
