Forward Progress Producers Dedicate a Series of Segments to Nutrigenomics

The compelling program presents a segment on the growing emergence of nutrigenomics.

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Aug. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Companies around the world are utilizing information from potential diet-related genes to improve lives and to identify risks of developing potential diseases. Forward Progress TV (http://about.me/fowardprogresstv/) hosted by Terry Bradshaw, strives to explore the latest in scientific and technological advancements in this burgeoning field.

In their 2013-2014 season, the producers at the Forward Progress TV (http://about.me/fowardprogresstv/) show will be producing continuing educational segments which will explain new exciting deliveries of personalized lifestyle medicine as approaches for the prevention and management of common chronic diseases.  “There are groundbreaking studies and new practices in nutrigenomics that have been implemented by healthcare providers around the world.” said Executive Producer, Doug Scott. “This special series of segments can serve as an inspiration for advancing health care and helping people achieve their genetic potential by giving our viewers the knowledge they need.”

Nutrigenomics—the science of nutrients as modulators for wellness— basically studies the response of genes to dietary nutrients. These principles provide the platform and help advance lifestyle medicine in modern practices by incorporating these new nutrigenomic principles and breakthrough findings.  “We’re dedicated to helping our viewers live happier, healthier lives. Expansion in this field holds promise for additional and more optimal use of nutraceuticals and more personalized health and nutrition.” Scott went on to say.

Some Nutrigenomic tests can utilize saliva, stools, or hair of individuals to identify irregularities in metabolism-related genes. The wide range of tests can provide information on the individual's genetic profile. Based on the analyses, specific regimens can be initiated to address conditions involved. Although the science of nutrigenomics is not yet an integral part of Americans’ medical routine, the show’s producers hope that with understanding of the integration of nutrition of healthcare, there will be a better chance of “forward progress” in overall health and survival.
