Wingspan Pictures To Launch Summer Film Slate with "Super Mike"

Aug. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Wingspan Pictures’ President Rachel Diana, CEO K. Rocco Shields and Executive Producer Franco Sama who serves as Wingspan Entertainment’s Executive in Charge of Motion Pictures and Television announced today that their heartwarming feel good dramedy “Super Mike” will be the first film to be produced under their new summer slate.

Although Wingspan Pictures is best known for their success in the commercial world and for having essentially created a new genre of “Hollywood” style corporate, industrial and educational films, the company recently embarked on creating a slate of socially conscious, awareness inducing original content which includes several independent feature films to be produced between now and mid- 2014.

"Super Mike” tells the story of a seven year old boy named Mikey who dreams of being a superhero.  As the story unfolds, we learn that dreamers and heroes are one in the same.

Created by producer Rachel Diana, “Super Mike” will be directed by K. Rocco Shields and Executive Produced by Franco Sama, who boasts an impressive array of successfully released independent feature films to his most recent “Guns, Girls & Gambling” starring Gary Oldman and Christian Slater.

Sama said of the film, “In my decade and a half of producing films I have never experienced such an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response to a story as I have with this film; virtually everyone who reads it walks away touched, joyful, and inspired”.

“Super Mike” is in pre-production and principle photography is currently scheduled for a November, 2014.
