EATONTOWN, N.J. - Aug. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Nonprofit also announces new officers

Eatontown, NJ - August 1st, 2013 Liane Westerman, M.A., will serve as chairwoman of the Center for Vocational Rehabilitation’s (CVR) board of directors. She succeeds Edward V. Moro, who served as board chairman for over four years. Westerman’s chairwomanship begins as three other board members begin their new duties as officers.

“The CVR family is extremely fortunate to have such a dedicated group of professionals and community leaders working together in support of our mission,” said Russell Anderson, CEO/President of CVR. “As we look to the future, they will help our organization to continue to grow and advance our cause of increasing the opportunities and well-being of all people with special needs.

Ms. Westerman has been active with CVR for over five years, including volunteering at fundraisers, serving on the board of directors and as a parent of a CVR participant.

“I am honored to be chosen for this role at a time when CVR is experiencing tremendous growth,” said Ms. Westerman. “During Ed Moro’s tenure, CVR’s Eatontown facility was able to get a new roof, air conditioning and heating systems.  Additionally, his commitment to fundraising has led to great success with our annual golf outings and casino nights. I am so excited to continue the momentum that he and Russell Anderson have created here at CVR.”

The new officers for the board of directors are: Michael Geer, vice-chairman; Allan Goldberg, treasurer; Anthony T. Bruno, secretary
