Invacare to host a practical workshop and mini-symposium at European Respiratory Society 2013

BRIDGEND, Wales - Aug. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Invacare® is delighted to announce that it will be making a major contribution to this year’s ERS Annual Congress to be held in Barcelona, Spain, from the 8^th – 11^th September.

The Invacare Practical Workshop

"Clinical Challenges in Ambulatory Oxygen: A practical training course", takes place on 8^th September (13.15 – 14.30), in Hall 3, Room 3.5. Professor Antoine Cuvelier of France, will act as Chairman, in a fascinating practical series.

 

Professor Cuvelier will illustrate issues surrounding ‘Patient selection in Ambulatory LTOT’. Professor Robert Chatburn, USA will focus in on ‘LTOT in practice: how to titrate to saturate’. The UK’s Jenny Turnbull will present 3 case studies, and finally, there will be a hands-on demonstrations of ‘best practice procedures’ to end the workshop.

 

Invacare Evening Mini Symposium

The mini symposium, under the title of: “Ambulatory Oxygen for COPD patients: From Evidence to Clinical Practice.” will take place on the 9^th September, in Hall 3, Room 3.8 (17.30 – 19.00).

 

The session will be chaired by Professor Jean-François Muir, of France, who will also talk about ‘Advances in Ambulatory Oxygen’. Other speakers are to include: Professor Robert Chatburn who will explain the relevance of ‘Pulse Dose in Ambulatory Oxygen’; Phyllis Murphie from the UK will share her thoughts on ‘Patient-Focused Ambulatory Oxygen Devices’; and Dr. Dan Veale, France, will focus in on ‘Current Evidence on Portable Oxygen Concentrators’.
