Mercedes Narcisse, Carib New Editorial Board Meeting

Mercedes hopes to create a better quality of life for New Yorker’s in her district. If elected Mercedes will become the very first women and immigrant to hold this office in nearly 60 years.

The campaign is very appreciative of Dr.Karl and Ms.Faye Rodney for making this meeting possible and the campaign looks forward to future partnerships with their publication. Mercedes looks forward to taking questions and inquires in regards to the progress of her campaign so far. Thing have been going well for this first time candidate who was recently endorsed by mayoral candidate Bill De Blasio. They plan to work together on similar issues such as healthcare reform and stop-and-frisk. 

Mercedes Narcisse is a candidate for City Council's 46th District. She is the Founder and President of the Avenue L Merchants Association and has built community coalitions throughout Brooklyn, including, Canarsie Bridges, Women’s Caucus and the National Association for the Advancement of Haitians. She is a former President of the 41st Assembly District Democratic Club and a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) - Brooklyn Chapter. She is the owner of Statewide Medical and Surgical Supplies, Inc. a small medical supplies business in the district.
