Aid in Action: Last Spots Available for Volunteer Training for an Educational Project in Thailand

BRUSSELS - Aug. 7, 2013 - PRLog -- Aid in Action is a project that provides assistance to populations in Far East countries. The project is supported by European philanthropists, and has been praised by the European union. Its purpose is to improve the ability of the lower class in these countries to earn a respectable living, and to prevent weaker sectors from turning to crime.
Aid in Action decided to undertake a conceptual breakthrough in the 2013-2014 fiscal year, in the field of humanitarian aid in Thailand, by aiding in the development of the educational system in the area of refugee camps in the northern and eastern parts of the countries, which would endow students with basic tools to compete in the job market.
Within this framework, Aid in Action found a group of volunteers with educational capabilities, and with professional backgrounds in industry and agriculture. This group is to carry out volunteer work for a full fiscal year.
For the sake of training for this project, Aid in Action contacted the AGR company, headed by Mr Max Kuntner. Mr. Kuntner specializes in accompanying companies and groups in organizational processes and promoting projects. AGR assisted Aid in Action by screening the volunteers to form a team of seven, who will spearhead the activity in the refugee areas in Thailand.
Mr. Kuntner said that as part of the training process, the volunteers are expected to undergo various workshops over the course of approximately two months in Bangkok, during which they will gain management tools. They will also have a number of workshops on developing creative thinking, dealing with difficulties and barriers, breaking the glass ceiling, and developing leadership and motivation capabilities. After theses workshops, the volunteers will learn basic Thai language.
Aid in Action hopes that in January 2014, the first trained team will begin working in the Thailand offices, immediately after renovations are completed.

About Aid in Action:The idea for Aid in Action project came about in 2011, during a fundraising tour in northern Thailand to assist in dealing with floods and monsoons. The basis of the idea is empowering the local population. Thailand is a developing country with a stable economic system, which has been hard hit in recent years by natural disasters, such s monsoons and floods. Within Thailand , there are many areas needing help in various spheres, including: Creating jobs outside the large cities, health, and education. Thailand was also exposed to humanitarian crises in its neighboring countries of Burma and Myanmar. As a result, refugees have poured into Thailand, which has caused poverty and distress (because of a shortage of accommodation, products, food. etc.)
Following the 2011 floods and monsoons, many areas in Thailand needed humanitarian aid and equipment. Aid in Action's first activity in Thailand was to volunteer to help needy families by distributing basic food products, drinking water, medication, hygiene products, and fuel.
