International actor Said Faraj’s 'American Failure' to be screened at AOF Film Festival

LOS ANGELES - Aug. 6, 2013 - PRLog -- Acclaimed international actor Said Faraj will be on hand for the screening of his film The American Failure at the 2013 Action On Film International Film Festival in Pasadena, CA. The film will be seen during the 8 p.m. block on August 21^st at the Krikorian Theater located at 410 S. Myrtle Ave, Monrovia, CA 91016.

A 22-minute short film, The American Failure tells the story of Los Angeles attorney Carlos Elias (portrayed by Faraj). Elias finds himself on the run from a ruthless international drug cartel when it is discovered that millions of dollars have been extorted. In pursuit by undercover detectives Matheis (Hakeen Kae-Kazim of Hotel Rwanda and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End) and Parker (Dan Thiel), Elias must outwit both the law and the mob in order to survive. The film also features Adrienne Wilkinson and Chriss Anglin.

The film also reached an international audience when it was screened at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

Since emigrating from Lebanon to the United States over 20 years ago, Said Faraj sought a career in the film industry, landing roles in acclaimed films, including: Green Zone; The Siege; Bad Influence; True Romance; and others. He has been featured in popular TV series such as: NCIS: Los Angeles; 24; The Unit; Bones; and more.

The 2013 AOF International Film Festival is slated for August 16^th-24^th in Pasadena, CA. The festival features short films, documentaries and other projects from around the world.
