Ford is Planning a Special Edition of the 2015 Mustang for the UK and Australia

While sources have said that the next-generation Ford Mustang (http://ahford.com/inventory/view/Model/Mustang/New/SortBy0/) might only be released in high-end V8 configurations, there’s also a rumored turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost model on the horizon. That version of the muscle car would likely feature a 2.3L four-cylinder and produce over 300 hp. That engine might appeal to drivers in the UK, where gas prices are significantly higher than those in the United States.

Arlington Heights Ford is also expecting some special editions of the Mustang in the United States to celebrate the model’s 50th anniversary. In fact, Ford has let slip that the first 1,000 models of the next-generation Mustang will be released as a 2014 ½ model, with a 5.0L V8 good for 460 hp. There’s no word on other changes, but special badging and interior details are likely.
