Aug. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- DENVER - On June 17th at Hiwan Golf Club in Evergreen, Colorado, the worldwide accounting firm Deloitte sponsored PCA’s Inaugural Charity Golf Tournament. The sold-out event attracted 126 golfers in support of Positive Coaching Alliance's first year of operation in Colorado to shift the way youth sports are taught.

Along with Deloitte, co-sponsors SquareTwo Financial and Bryan Cave HRO raised enough funds to help reach an additional 3,000 kids in Colorado in the coming school year through live workshops for coaches, parents and athletes. “We owe a debt of gratitude to these corporations for giving us the opportunity to change kids’ lives,” said Jeff Dale, Executive Director of PCA-Colorado.

These “Big 3” sponsors believe in PCA’s mission to build positive environments for kids to love and learn sports as a platform for teaching valuable life lessons of discipline, self-control, self-confidence, teamwork and mental toughness.

PCA, a national nonprofit founded at Stanford University in 1998, opened a Colorado office in 2012 with the generous support of the Daniels Fund.  Through workshops, PCA provides practical tools and frameworks that help coaches, parents, and athletes incorporate positive, character-building elements into the youth sports culture.
