Schneider named Executive Vice President of Wheaton | Bekins van lines

INDIANAPOLIS - Aug. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- As Wheaton World Wide Moving | Bekins Van Lines continues to grow through its second year as a combined van line, the company is taking an aggressive approach to brand development. As part of the strategic initiative to grow the company’s brands, A.J. Schneider was named Wheaton | Bekins Executive Vice President.

Schneider, a veteran sales and marketing practitioner, was the company’s vice president of sales and marketing and will now be responsible for sales and marketing, agency development as well as customer service.

“A.J.’s expanded role, as well as other organizational changes, will help us position both the Wheaton and Bekins brands to realize their full potential,” said Mark Kirschner, Wheaton | Bekins CEO. “Both brands have experienced unprecedented growth and the combination of the brands has exceeded our expectations.”

The changes come after Dave Witzerman, the van line’s president, announced last week his plans to leave the industry and pursue his long-time dream of teaching and community service. Witzerman will continue with the company through the end of the year to help ensure a smooth transition, Kirschner said.

“While we are sad to see Dave Witzerman leave, we are grateful for his 20 years of dedicated service at Wheaton, his loyalty, the integrity he displayed every day and his friendship,” Kirschner said. “Dave has helped ensure that Wheaton | Bekins is positioned for growth and prosperity today and in the future. We wish Dave and his family the best.”

Wheaton | Bekins, the fourth largest household goods carrier in the country, had record revenue in 2012, and is on track to do the same in 2013.
