When SneakerThirst was created in 2012, one of our goals was to uplift our community. We wanted to do something fresh/new, while impacting our core visitors. Understanding our visitor demographics we decided to reward the young readers, as they will be our future some day. The SneakerThirst Scholar program aims to promote Academic success; we will give away a free pair of sneakers to any student age 9-19 every quarter. Let’s introduce you to our 1st winner: Brandon S. We had a great time meeting his family and surprising him with a free pair of Air Jordan 1’s. Check out the interview/gallery of pics below. If you or anyone you know would like to get a chance to become a SneakerThirst scholar, visit our website and follow the instructions. All you have to do is take a picture of yourself and a role model (could be a parent, family friend or relative, teacher, etc.). Write a short essay describing why that person is a role model to you. Upload both your picture and essay and we will choose a winner at a designated time period (4 winners in a year.)
