ATLANTA - July 30, 2013 - PRLog -- DARTMOUTH, NOVA SCOTIA —Four Japanese automakers recently announced their intentions to collaborate on building an electric vehicle charging infrastructure in their home country.

Nissan, Honda, Mitsubishi and Toyota plan to work together to build the infrastructure that will boost the demand for plug-in vehicles in Japan. The Japanese government will contribute subsidies that will allow chargers to exist in common locations, like gas stations, shopping malls and restaurants, making charging a plug-in vehicle convenient and simple.

The automakers aim to have plug-in vehicles representing as much as 20 percent of all new vehicles sold by the end of this decade.
