By: Chateau Morrisette Described by the New York Times as, “Impassioned singing, riff-based Southern rock, cold-blooded swamp funk and sly Memphis soul,” Opening this Black Dog Festival is a seven-piece American group from Gulfport, Mississippi called Rosco Bandana (http://www.roscobandana.com). The band formed in 2010 under the leadership of principle songwriter, Jason Stafford and co-founder Barry Pribyl. In 2011, the band won the Hard Rock Calling contest and flew to LA to begin recording their first studio album, “Time to Begin,” The Black Dog Summer Music Festival will be held in the Nancy Morrisette Field adjacent to the winery and features several regional wineries, including Chateau Morrisette, diverse food venders, artists, artisans, and festival retailers. Gates open at 10:00 AM. Guests should bring lawn chairs, blankets, and umbrellas for shade. The event is dog friendly provided they remain on a leash. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the gate.
