Orlando Native Puts Spotlight on Business Women in Corporate America Pageant Competition

Anissa King, Founder and Director of the Ms./Mrs. Corporate America Pageant, found her crowning jewel was providing a professional pageant avenue for accomplished and mature business women

ORLANDO, Fla. - July 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Orlando native and entrepreneur Anissa King announces the upcoming 7th Annual Ms./Mrs. Corporate America Pageant (MCA) which will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld (6677 Sea Harbor Drive) from 7:30pm-9:30pm. The pageant recognizes the professional achievements and community service initiatives of career women throughout North, South, and Central America and provides a platform for women to promote themselves and a personal platform, enhance self-confidence, strengthen leadership skills, accomplish personal and professional goals and establish friendships with other professional women.

With more than 14 years of management experience, King founded the pageant after competing in several pageants herself and realizing that age and/or family obligations often prohibit women from continuing to compete. To date, more than 80 women have competed for the title and winners have been featured in various national media outlets. The theme for the 7th annual pageant is Collective Innovation-Global Success. “Pageants are a staple in America culture and are taken very seriously by the contestants”, says King.” Pageantry is more than just a beauty parade. They prepare women to compete in critical areas which will benefit them long after the competition is over. Our contestants come prepared to put their best foot forward and promote their businesses and projects so they truly are winners before they even hit the stage.”

The contestants of the Ms./Mrs. Corporate America pageant are judged by a panel on interview, formal wear, athletic wear and on-stage question. The 2014 MCA queens will become the voice and image of professional women across the globe and will be responsible for conducting professional workshops, doing national radio/television broadcasts, attending seminars, participating in charitable events, and speaking to audiences about their platform.

King is a graduate of West Orange High School and obtained a bachelor’s degree from The University of South Florida. Ms. King makes time to give back to her community by providing support and guidance to at-risk youth. She founded Camp David Community (CDCC), a non-profit organization committed to serving youth in the socially and economically underserved communities of Orange County, FL. The Center provides programs, developmental activities, and learning experiences that are inspiring and fun. CDCC promotes physical, educational, spiritual, and emotional growth. The Center is dedicated to keeping youth on the right track. King is also a Hospice volunteer, Big Sister (Big Brothers Big Sisters program), and tutors elementary students in Math and English.
